Now that winter is coming to an end, the gang has been going back to hikes and visiting more dog fields. After last year’s popular post about the Hagbourne Dog field near Didcot, this time around we visited the Paws Paddock in Wallingford, Oxfordshire.

Booking the field is easy and so far the best online experience from all the fields we have visited. On contrary to other sites, you’re not required to enter your personal details for booking and billing info twice, you can also register on the website so future bookings are even smoother. This service also offers to pay with Apple Pay, which speeds things up. You will be able to add your new booking to your google calendar and will also be sent a reminder email a couple of days before. Overall, they have really thought about making your experience with them better.

For navigating to the field, I’d suggest you use the full address, as following only the postcode will take you to the wrong location. Once within the Manor Farm territory, there are very clear signs indicating where the field is.

This field within the Farm is well kept and, although smaller than other fields we visited, it offers a few more interesting things for the fur babies and human parents too. The area measures 1.4 acres (just over half a hectare).

Similarly to other fields, there is a shed. However, besides the usual information board and extra poo bags, this one also offers a couple of chairs and a sofa to sit on, a number of books and magazines to entertain any visitor that is not engaged with the dogs in the field or shielding from rain. It also has a big box of dog toys with plenty of options for your dogs. There is a dog waste bin on the outside of the shed, as well as a hose and a bowl for water. On the side of the shed there’s a picnic table.

The field offers some nice agility equipment. Gambá especially liked going in and out of the plastic tunnel and jumping inside and out of the large tires. The girls also found it fun to chase each other around these obstacles.

The secured field is next to what appears to be a horse exercising/training area and the girls got really excited to see the majestic animals being walked past the field.
It’s a great little field and one for the gang to visit again in the future. The girls absolutely loved their time there.
Cheers,
Ademar
