The gatehouse of 14th century Donnington Castle in the small village of Donnington is an impressive view and it offers a number of different footpaths you can enjoy with your dog. The site is an excellent option for a dog walk in Berkshire.

We finally got to walk the 10 km River of Life trail in Little Wittenham, a great dog walk in Oxfordshire. The River of Life I and II are ecological projects by the Earth Trust in the Wittenham Clumps. The main goal is to re-wild a stretch of the Thames riverbank, providing habitats for biodiversity.

The beautiful countryside of woodland and wildflower meadows is located just south of Cambridge and offers miles of great walks. For starters, we are now at the Thames Valley in the historic County of Berkshire in South East England, although part of Oxfordshire since 1974. No beaches here but the lovely countryside and beautiful woodland. This walk was also shorter – 5 kilometres.
